I am building a Titanic similar to your scale. My model is 1/100th scale, which makes its overall length 8 ft, 10 in. I plan to make my model R/C, with fiber optic lighting. I am using the Hahn plans in the same scale. For smoke, instead of dealing with the complexity of smoke systems plus the more electricity needed, I will just make brass supports inside the stacks for incense. That way, just light it up and drop it in, and you'll get a nice smelling smoke for quite a good amount of time. Now my model will serve a dual purpose....while on display it can emit smoke AND make the room smell nice =) Feel free to email me if you want to trade ideas/encouragement.
