As far as I know, at least the 1/570 Titanic and 1/600 Mauretania have unique hulls, as do the 1/350 Titanic and 1/350 Titanic and Lusitania. It is possible that in some smaller scale [1:1200?] someone has tried to use a common hull, but not to my knowledge.

You can see the differences in the plastic hulls for the Titanic and Lusitania by looking at the pictures of the completed models of Lusitania on the OceanLiner Modeler's web page with the pictures of Titanic models on this site. URL for the Lusi photo is :http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/OceanLiners/lmp1.jpg, if I can't get the link to work.

Also, check out the 1:600 Mauretania model photos at the same web site in comparison with the 1:570 Titanic photos on this site.

From what I have read, Lusitania hulls seem to be used again to make Titanic hulls. Are the hulls of plastic models the same and they just make the decks differently or are there models that individually show the true nature of the hull. I look at my ships and I know the contours of the hull since I built them from scratch. I am concerned particularly with Lusi and Mauri since their rudder configuration is different from the White Star ships. Also I understand that some models are only from the waterline up, you see this in some of the paper models of the Titanic.
: So which models show the ships accurately?
