Hi all,
as Mark mentioned some lines underneath, Bruce and I are back from England. I will only drop some comments, until Bruce has got his PC back in live and then he wanted to type an article, which will also include the photos of the motorized Lord Kelvin sounding machine, that we found in the store room of the Southampton marine museum. Alastair Arnold was so kind to show us stuff of Titanic, that is not open for the puplic.
Al in al the trip was incredible. We meet so many great people, like Mark Warren, Simon Mills and Ralph White, who was 24 times down by Titanic as well as the first time with Ballard. Because we meet Simon Mills, Bruce and I decided to make a Britannic next. The Titanic plans are kind of "finished" now, what means, we don't exspect any major changes in the future.
Naturally we have been down the docks and Bruce hurt his leg unfortunally when he jumped over the fence to make a photo of me, sitting on the bollards. I talked to him yesterday and he said it is getting better now.
What we can say from our trip, the British Society is the one to join. Anybody was so unexspected friendly and open and we want to come back next year. We held our speech infront of approx. 200 people and anybody came by at the end to thank us and to shake our hands. At the final gala dinner Bruce and I were sitting next to Mr. Eaton and Hass and had a nice talk with them.
OK I don't want to tell everything till Bruce is back, but he has great pictures to show in his article.
Best
Robert
