I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this color before, but I ran a search on the word oxide and came up empty. After matching paints with several Ken Marshall paintings (due to different lighting in different paintings, this isn't as easy as it sounds) in the model shop, I picked up some Polly Scale Special Oxide Red. It looked dark until I did the black parts of the main hull, but it came out really well. I've basically decided that my color scheme will be based off what Ken has painted.
