: A modeling competition would be wonderful. First prize should be $500 or 2 Updated Minicraft Titanic Models and a R/C conversion kit, 2nd place should be the Academy 1/600th scale Titanic or $200 or a collection of Titanic documentaries. 3rd place should either $100 or Ken Marschall's Titanic Art Book with his signature. If that was the case, I would submit my Titanic model. Any comments?

Yeah, I have a comment! Cash!? Whoa! Hold on there, buckaroo! This is a FREE, not-for-profit organization. Just where would you suggest this cash came from? The prizes such as model kits, P/E sets, autographed books, etc. are available to offer as prizes through the great generosity of sponsors such as Al Trendle, Loren Perry and others. The money for cash prizes would have to be raised in the same manner as other venues which hand out such awards; entrance fees, membership dues, and/or private and corporate sponsorships. If you'd like this organization to remain free and open to all, let's not even go there!
