Following on from messages further down the board regarding the future of Harland & Wolff, it has just been announced on our local BBC news that the yard has won a contract from the UK Ministry of defence. The order is for two roll-on roll-off ferries worth many millions of pounds, so at least the immediate future of yard and it's Belfast workers looks brighter. I, and I expect most of you, send them very best wishes and hope that this will be the turnround point in their recent flagging fortunes.
