I asked him to remove it because it needs to be updated. Of course I can't find the original HTML file to fix it, and I just plain forgot. The problem with the writing was that the explanation of the water pipes was all wrong. I have how they work backwards.
The "U" tubes on the funnels were supply tubes to replenish water to the Boat deck tanks from the hold tanks below. The pipes were used to keep the boat deck tanks full at all times bu the use of gravity. When the water level dropped in the tanks, the water would be pumped up from the bottom, through the pipes and into the tanks. The loops always kept the water level above the level of the tanks, hence the pumps kept the water pipes full. I hope that was understandable. The smaller pipes or the "P" pipes were overflows.
Perhaps Sean could post the "defroster" drawing again which we found to be a "breakwater", by itself. also my drawings of the 20" cowls fore of the #4 funnel also.
