You guys are making me think I should consider a shade of gray. Is it possible the decks could have really been almost gray in color, although it would probably be very light? Didn't they treat the wood with any kind of preservative to keep the wood tone?

It's true the planks were on the ship for quite a while even before it set sail. How about information on the other two sister ships? I guess if I have to, I could live with gray as the more accurate color instead of tan, but not without a fight. I am so curious as to how to truly show the color, it may drive me crazy.

I maintain that it was NOT a dark shade at all. Whether a tannish wood shade, or more grayish, I don't see how it could be dark. I am sorry if anyone made their deck color dark on the model, but I myself seriously doubt it was dark in any way. Any other comments? How can we figure this one out? It is starting to bug me already. I love a challenge, so let's argue this one guys. I need more input on this one.
