: : Mike...I tried bending one at the waist & it wouldn't go...what am I doing wrong? Help will be much appreciated. I want to sit some on the benches...otherwise, the benches will look lonely!
: Hello Jeanne,
: I used flat tipped tweezers to hold the brass figure at the point I wanted to bend it and then pressed the exposed section backward (usually at a 90 degree angle) to achieve the bend. For persons sitting on a bench I would place their feet and legs up to the knee into the tweezers and bend it back. Next I would place the tweezers to their waist from the head down and bend again.
: The end result is a person in a typical sitting position folded at waist and knees. Persons sitting on the deck steamer chairs were bent only at the waist. At that point they are glued onto the chair and their legs can be left exposed or a in some cases I covered them up with "blankets".
: Hope that helped.
: Cheers, Mike
Sure does! Hey, how'd you make the "blankets?" I have been going to your site with the how tos on the rivet counter, lots of great information there! I think your grand staircase is awesome still. Mine won't be as fancy, but at least I did a little more with it than it was...FI: the flooring, the back walls & added some people. Thanks again.
