: I would only recommend a glue that dries completely hard. A tacky glue stays somewhat soft and will be damaged by handling. Also, it may react unfavorably with paint. If you're still curious, try it on one or two figures to see if it will work. If you like the results, continue with the rest of the figures.
: I personally would use a five-minute hobby-type two-part epoxy or a white glue such as Elmer's and allow it to dry completely hard before painting. Thick superglues may work, but it will probably take several coats to achieve the desired thickness.
Thanks, Loren. I can't wait for this set! I want to put railing on the boat deck where it belongs & if there's enough left...the grand & aft staircase. I tried glue, but it doesn't really bother me if the people don't look "fat."
