Loren:
I couldn't agree more with your comments. We were merely engaged in a discussion of modelling techniques and their advantages or disadvantages.
It appears that if opinion is not unanimous that Tom's Modelworks PE sets are the best ever made then it is Jerry Davidson's self appointed job to launch personal attacks against them. Such behavior doesn't reflect well on the TRMA when one of their TRUSTEES is so closely linked to a product that he is promoting that he has to try to denigrate any competition or critical comments.
I appeal to Jerry Davidson to resign his trusteeship with the TRMA until he abandons his crusade. Short of that, I implore the TRMA to ask for his resignation.

: : Mr. Perry,
: : There you go again. Making a simple process sound more difficult than it really is. You really should confine your definitions and directions to your own PE. It would better serve you

: Mr. Davidson, I really have to answer this. Your hatred of me and GMM is starting to get irritating.
: I provided a solid method of employing window frames - both photoetched and decals - for those wishing to get the very best possible results.
: I mentioned no brand names. PE windows, no matter who makes them, will require methods similar to those I described to get the best results. Window decals, no matter who makes them, will also require similar methods to those I described.
: And Mr. Davidson, please note this: I took the time to provide a detailed description to other modelers on how to get the best possible results for their own models using other manufacturers' products. You have done nothing but complain and disparage my efforts. You offer have offered nothing - repeat, nothing - to modelers wanting to improve their models; just complaints and insults.
: If building a well-detailed model is just too complicated for you, that's your problem. But other modelers may wish to go the extra mile to make their own work truly special. I've shown them my way and asked for anyone who had a better method to speak up now. Your response is shown above. We'll let the other members of this site decide who's approach they prefer.
