: Hi guys,
: for all of you who are already members you should be able to answer these couple of questions I have about becoming a member of the Titanic Historical Society.
: 1) What does it mean to be a "contributing" member, does this mean that I have to actually contribute material and information to the Society?
Answer: No; your "contribution" at this level is paying higher dues.
: 2) Is the renewal fee paid every year or every month?
Answer: You pay the full dues at joining for the coming year; after that, the dues are payed each year just prior to April 15th. You will receive a reminder. The full membership calendar year runs from April 15th to April 15th - easy enough to remember that date, no?
: 3) What are the benefits of becoming a member?
Answer: Receiving the "Titanic Commutator", THS's quarterly journal, which contains information and articles which are available nowhere else; a connection to thousands of other Titanic enthusiasts worldwide; and, access to any and all THS functions.
: 4) Is the Commutator delivered every month or every year?
Answer: Quarterly - four times per year.
: 5) As a member will I have to go to the conventions?
Answer: No, you do not HAVE TO go to any convention. Indeed, many members have never gone to a convention, either due to financial or geographical reasons.
