O.K. here is my opinion. I brushpainted the trimline because: I don't believe in tapes as the ageing process WILL have its effects on the tape itself and the adhesive even if sealed. I also don't believe that any tape will fit snugly between irregular molded rivets and contours which are quite a challenge for any kind of tape; maybe there are some good tapes out there. I don't know any. It will eventually lose adhesion I'm sure. I am in the music business and until now ALL glueing tapes even of the highest professional quality ended up a§s the "sticky tape syndrom" they come off through chemical decomposition of adhesive and shrinkage. Correct me if I'm wrong. I recommend painting and if you have the equipment, time and skills (I don't): airbrushing!
Cheers
