: MGY here: Per your suggestions, I have decided to try painting on the yellow trim line. However I have a new problem. I have already applied gloss cote and dull cote to the hull. My question is is there anyway to apply paint to the hull now, like spraying a primer coat on the hull, or perhaps spraying another layer of dull cote over the yellow paint before it comes off? I would be grateful is someone replied.
I didn't reply earlier, since I figured someone would be more of an expert than I. Maybe
if I offer lame advice, someone will jump in to correct me! : )
If you have applied dullcote, I don't think you should have any trouble getting the new
paint to adhere. It isn't slick, so I would think that the new paint will be fine. Of course,
applying another coat of dullcote afterwards shouldn't hurt either.
