James, you dont have to be a great, whatever!
Take some old junk R\C cars tear the motors out ,find some shaft material, drill out prop shaft in prop wings, some miner soldering, a two channel radio controll, speed controll, batteries. It will take time but when YOU CONTROLL the movements of it in the water, you feel like you did something. Belive me , if you could my friends faces, when I sailed her for the first time! They were amazed!!! I'd worked on it every chance I got for 10 months, my friends thought I was nuts, putting all this time into my model. But , I saw their face in total disbeleif when she came across the pool and turned in large circles. After I'd completed her, I finally got a P\C, and found all you other Titanic modelers,... now I don't feel so obsessed anymore, knowing all of you people are out there.
