It would be great if one of your "authorities" wrote a short article on this site about his or her experience with Tom's M.W. photo etched windows. It could be included in the tutorial. I have the feeling the instructions which come with the etched brass set won't tell us everything we need to know. I ordered the windows because they are an even better substitute for the scratchbuilt windows from the tutorial. My questions already here: Are they really flush to the outward bulkheads or slightly inward? If they are flush outwards then we have to cut out the clear acetate for each window(?) How to glue it without smudges??? Should they be painted before and then glued with CA? This may be more difficult but guarantees no bleeding of paint (?). HEELP!
