I would suggest reading my paper model article on the main page. Also get a copy of Engineering, and check out the schematics for these items, not only the engines but the cranes etc. Then get all of the photographs you can find and the painted postcards. Check out Russ Wild's page on the interiors of the Britannic, and the interiors of the olympic, to help you with the paneling. check out the Britannic diving expedition which has pictures of the floor tile. Build and decorate the ship as you go upwards. Build it just like Harland and Wolff built the ships. I highly recommend making the stern cast peices, so you can shape the hull properly and it will help in the function of the propellers. When you build the rooms as it goes up and you will not have to go back and fill in. If you do any other staircase, make sure you get the arrangement right. look at the plans and see where the landings are. In one of my ships I got the staircase backwards and had to go back and replace it, not a grand staircase, but one in the stern that goes down to the food storage areas. i hope you make yours capable of movement, radio controlled. I would check with Mr. Hahn about his plans.

Sincerely,

James Pepper
