Well Andy, I don't know about some people who came across this, but in fact the funnels were lighted by the means of light pods on the sides of the funnels. Think of the Statue Of Liberty, her flame is lighted by small light pods that are at the base of the statue. So if you can manage to drill out light ports for the lighting effect, try to get it to reflect towards the funnels. This should cover this subject! Good luck!
