Yes the trials were standrd procedure. The only difference between the olympic and the Titanic was the lack of time. The Titanic's trials were cut by a day becasue of bad weather, and the Britannic's were done very quikley as to get her to Southampton for her duties. In fact, there is even mention that the Britannic did her sea trials while she was enroute to Southampton, never returning to Belfast to dock, except to come in close enough to drop off some of the H&W people on a tug, in heavy fog.
