: I've been using Tenax for many years and it's one of my favorites. The biggest problem is that it is almost impossible to apply with a brush, because it evaporates before you can get the brush to the part. The applicator is the best way to go.
: As far as it going bad, I don't think it can, but it WILL evaporate right out of the bottle unless you keep the lid very tight. I was dismayed to find that a bottle that had been half full six months ago was completely empty when I went to use it recently.

Hi,

You say you've been using it for years...like I said, my local shop has just started carrying this product. Some people around here think things happen slowly...isn't there a new movie coming out in a few month called Titanic with Leo or Leny, lenard, dicappitated or something :)
Just kidding...the applicator method seems to work great and I plan to use this method for cementing the first deck to the hull when I get done drilling all those "insert profanity here" portholes out. I am doing the fiber optic job on mine combined with opening up the inner decks to let ambient light shine up through the lower decking and I think the Tenax might help seal the joints from bleed through of the light. I was considering mixing a little dye with the Tenax and then using it on scrap to see what the results might be. if it worked, it may be a good way to sort of "calk" in joints such as where floors meet walls. Anyway thanks for your reply.
Have a good one.
