I've been using Tenax for many years and it's one of my favorites. The biggest problem is that it is almost impossible to apply with a brush, because it evaporates before you can get the brush to the part. The applicator is the best way to go.
As far as it going bad, I don't think it can, but it WILL evaporate right out of the bottle unless you keep the lid very tight. I was dismayed to find that a bottle that had been half full six months ago was completely empty when I went to use it recently.
