Tired of flimsy plastic models, for strength try Paper!

I have heard from several people who are concerned about the strength of paper versus the strength of the plastic models. Let me say that I was amazed at how easily the plastic breaks and bends. I just recieved a plastic model and in comparing it to my ships I was amazed at how fragile it was.
On occasion I have dropped my ships onto the floor, it landed on its side, when we were moving them into the display cases, and the only major damage was some of the lifeboats fell off. The propellers and Rudder were protected by the curve of the ship, just as the real propellers were protected from collision. I do not know what damage would have been done to a plastic model.

My paper models are much stronger, the decks do not bend. And I recommend paper as a method of making the ships, now more than ever.
