One of the great disappointments on the 1/350 model , is the blunt aspect of the stem .
Small tip : mark a vertical line roughly 15 mm from the bow , just about where the solid railing stops . Make a resin duplicate of this section utilising a silicon mould , remove the plastic end ,then glue the new bow section with cyanolite .
Once dry , using a rotating dental burr , remove layers of resin , symetrically , until you obtain a razor sharp breakwater , just like the real ship.The resin , and in this case I used dental restorative resin , which has a smooth surface ; and gives you the added advantage of being rock hard .
