Why wouldn't you think the holes in the covers wouldn't be glass? Screens would allow water in on heavy seas or in storms. The sea gets very rough even at that height. Have you ever heard about the damage caused to the Olympic on one occasion when windows were blown out of A deck and damage caused to the bridge caused from waves? The covers are propped open to allow the ventilation in decent weather and then closed when it was storming and etc. These are my thoughts. The movie ship has glass in the round holes of the weather covers. That is the only reference I can find now, but as more pictures are released the more we will learn.
