Lee Titanic Kit
by PJThere is an advertisement from D.A.R.E. Destributors inside the front cover of the current Flying Models Magazine [some of us are multi-lingual] including a picture of a "motorized" Titanic at (get this!!!) 1:150 scale for $20.00. However, the ad also states the model is 20" long, so the scale is way off.
The clerk said some Titanic kits came in earlier in the day in boxes he hadn't seen before, but they were all sold. They did, however, have a kit for a "motorized" German U-Boat that was a Lee kit, and the box had the same art pictured in the Lee ad. So I am quite sure the ad is referring to the Lee kit, but I don't know where they came up with the 1:150 scale.
I think the U-Boat kit is a repackaging of an earlier Academy kit. For your further info, the U-Boat box said the motor is not included, so I doubt it is with the Titanic, either.
