Minicraft's president has said in the interview on the main page that they are currently improving the 1/350 kit, using the suggestions on this webpage. Wouldn't this suggest that the new minicraft kit to be (re-)released would be even better than the Academy kit?
I think I'll hold off and wait til the new minicraft kit is released, then do a comparison between the two.
