There is no question yhe photo on pg 39 of
Marriott's book is Olympic for a number of very
good reasons, not the least of which is the
number at the lower left corner. The list from
the H&W photo archive, very kindly supplied to
me by Mark Darrah, list photo number H1827
as "view aft to bridge from anchor chain cables
on forecastle deck", ship no. 400, Olympic,
December, 1912. This is one of a number of
photos taken at H&W during the post-Titanic
disaster refit. I don't have a copy of "T@2", so
I can't check that photo. If the cowl vents are
missing, it isn't the same photo as on Marriott's
pg. 39, H1827. Also, in a separate list of photos
for "B", there is no similar photo listed.
