After study of all the photos I have of Titanic the only one that shows the hatches you are looking for is a fitting out photo of Titanic and low and behold the angle was high enough to see the hatches. The starboard hatch was closed and very faint, but the port hatch was open and clearly visible on the back wall right next to hatch #5 as it is illustrated by Mr. Marschall on his cutaway. (Guess he is two for two tonight). Hope this helps. If you wish to see the photo it is on page 25 of Titanic:An Illustrated History.
