The davits are a one piece assembly per group of boats. He is saying that you have to move them outward closer to the outside edges of the boat deck. The deck has grooves to push the davits into as it sits right from the kit( it's routed out) . Remove the ouside plastic from the groove(rout) and place the 2mm plastic strip (plug) against the inside, in the spot where the davits would have gone and then place the davits on. Your just making a spacer do you understand?
In other words your moving the boat davits 2mm farther out to the edges.
