Some time back on the ill-fated message board 4,
I remember a discussion going on about whether or
not there was a support pillar or column next to the
crew ladders from A deck to the aft end of the boat
deck. Take a look at the photo of Olympic on the
bottom of pg. 57. There it is, clear as a bell: one
next to the ladder (both legs of the ladder can be
seen as well) just before the rounded corner of the
overhanging portion of the boat deck, and a second
one half way to the edge of the full-width portion of
the boat deck.
