How about using a computer to print a gold colored stripe onto a decal sheet?
You get excellent control over the entire length of the strip and you can make as much as you need. All you have to do is to make sure the color matches.
I haven't done this myself, but I'm plannning on doing it for my Titanic.
What do you think?
