Mike, I'm confused as to the exact structure your talking about. If you mean the weather wall that covers on three sides the opening to the stairs up from A deck to the prominade (both sides) then Roy Mengot's instructions are correct. The model has them to wide and has a curved shroud over the top of each. This shroud is seen in some early Marsshcall paintings but not in later. It is believed that this curved shroud was probably a removable canvass cover like a baby stroller might have. In the pictures of " The Discoveery Of The Titanic" by Robert Ballard, the walls of these structures are still on the wreck they are only half or 3/4 walls as Mengot said and they have hand railings on them.
