New finding in Marschall Painting?

We've all seen the starboard side cutaway painting of the Titanic by Ken Marschall that was first printed in "Titanic: An Illustrated History", right? Well, today I was looking at an updated section of that painting which is found on p. 17 of the book "Inside the Titanic" by Ken Marschall. I was looking at the well deck and between the electric winch and the "mushroom" vent he has painted a black structure. It looks too small to be a windlass and too large to be a fairlead roller. There is a "hook" like projection. This structure has never shown up in any of his paintings before. You can tell that this painting is his latest rendition because he has slanted the aft wall of the support under the stairs of the docking bridge. He still has not removed the white painted outboard supports to the aft end of the boat deck though.
Does anybody have any idea what he is depicting and is it a bilateral structure?
