First, I have decided to build another scratch built
Titanic, this one being 42 inches long (1/250th scale)
so that I can incorperate all the good info posted on
these message boards and to give a greater degree of detail.
Plus, I just want to build another one! Second, the Olympic
photo does look very convincing, but I am forced to be
scepticle because it isn't the Titanic. I will agree that
being sisters, there shouldn't be a difference in the paint
scheme, but after all, the Olympic did undergo some radical
paint jobs, like the Jimmy Hendrix War Paint, so is it remotely
possible that that photo, being somehow mislabeled wasn't
of the ship after being returned to a normal paint job after
the war? Who knows, anyway. I do not want this to be a heated
issue, so if certain people believe the line is painted, I'm
behind you. I myself believe it wasn't painted, so we will all
have great Titanic models regardless!
