The stripe that goes all the way around the hull is, indeed, more a mustard color than a true metallic gold. In railroad color parlance this is referred to as "dulux" gold. However, I used Microscale model railroad stripe decals in ordinary yellow and one can't tell the difference because the stripe is so narrow. The decal sheet I used is Microscale # 87-110-6, and I used the narrower of the two sizes on the sheet. One sheet is enough to do the whole ship.

The second stripe that went around the stern (maybe?) may have been the same color or it may have been white. One can't tell from the photographic evidence. I left it off my model.
