We covered this structure some time back. The speculation was that this was not a support but rather some sort of a conduit for possibly electrical lines to the docking lamps.

: I have noticed from all of the Marchall paintings and the Father Browne photos that there seems to be a white steel support going from the aft boatdeck to the aft mast. In some of the different Titanic books out there, the publishers seem to not cut off as much of the Browne photos as the book specifically on him. You can see a pipe of sorts leading up to a beam in his aft photos. any comment?
