Now I've finished my model, I'm dissapointed with the port holes which are located in the white band at the top of the hull. I tried the method of soaking them with black paint and then wiping excess off, but the overall effect is inconsistent. I've also tried using a black permanent marker, but it doesn't like enamel paint much and dries patchy.
Are there any other ways of consistently painting the port holes, without drilling them?
