I've just sent Sean a large package of photos of my
completed 1/350 Minicraft Titanic with all available
Gold Medal Models fittings installed and painted. He'll
try to get them posted on the web soon. Once up, the
readers of this site will be able to download all the
photos for free.
The model reflects most of the changes, additions,
and improvements discussed on this site, plus it has
over 200 painted figures. I removed the lower hull and
turned the kit into a "waterline" model shown "at sea"
and underway. Jack and Rose are "flying" on the bow.
For those who want glossy prints instead of the
free downloads, I've assembled ten photo packs, each
containing 26 images from both sides of the model,
including many close-ups of important areas. A written
description of modeling techniques used is also
included. I'll sell these packs for $30.00 USD each -
this includes USA postage. For overseas air mail,
add $3.00 additional. But once again, you'll be able
to eventually download photos for free from this site
once Sean has done his job.
(I'm giving $5.00 from each purchase to Sean as
compensation for his wonderful service to us all. He
didn't ask for this so he's going to be surprised when
he reads this here because I haven't told him prior
to this posting.)
If there's any demand at all for these photo packs,
I'll have more made. But you might want to wait until
Sean has his samples uploaded onto this site so you
can get previews. Be advised that his photos are not
all the same as those in the glossy print packs. I took
over 100 shots under different conditions so there's
quite some variety. All are sharp and clear and reveal
a lot of detail.
