1/350 Pipe conflict

In the 1/350 Minicraft instruction booklet, page 22, step 57, we are asked to assemble part G11 which is a pipe that extends from the roof of the structure that number 4 funnel sits on and glue the other end to the top of the second class entrance in front of the elevator room.

We have found in various Marschall paintings the depiction of this pipe presented by him in two ways.
The first shows it presented as the model suggests it should be glued. To reach the elevator/2nd class roof it needs to go through the roof railings.
IN other paintings by Marschall (for example the one of the ship splitting), he shows the pipe coming out from the roof of the number four funnel structure, but instead of crossing the span over to the 2nd class entrance roof he shows it to not cross the span but bend down and terminate on the roof of the 1st class smoking room. Check also his 3/4 view cutaway painting in Illustrated history or Inside The Titanic.

We have found no Titanic photos clear enough or at the right angle to determine if the model's suggested position is correct or if it needs to terminate on the 1st class roof instead. Does anyone know for certain?

Also if anyone has deckplans, can you locate -all- the hose hydrants for us that are on the boat deck. I have found only two on the portside using photos of the Titanic but would be interested in were they all are.
