: Hi

: I am not to happy with my first attempt at painting the hull of my model with a brush. How practical are the air-brushes? Are they the ones you blow through, or something more elaborate?

: A recent contributor to these pages said s/he was going to visit Harland and Wolff. Do they have organised visits, or is it just if you 'know' someone there?

The airbrushes you're referring to are powered by compressed air. They range in price from $50 to $150 depending on your needs. The compressor goes for $150 to $300. Airbrushes provide superior finish for most paint types over the finish you'd get from an ordinary brush. I own one and it's worth the money I spent, believe me.
Best of luck and success
