: Does any of you have any experience with the Tauberman plans of the "Titanic"?
: They are available in two scales, 1:100 and 1:200. I intend to build this ship as a model, and in my opinion the 1:350 scale models are too small. Even if you are able to create most of the details on deck, it is far too difficult to make them in exact scale. Take for instance the antenna cables that would be around 0.07mm in diameter to match the scale.
: I know that this might sound exaggerated and I am in no way taking the pleasure away from all of you doing the smaller scale,( I have put together the Revell model myself), but I simply want to have a bigger scale.
: On the other hand, do you know of any other sources for good scale drawings of this ship?
: Harland and Wolf are selling copies of the original at around $400,- apiece, and one would need 5-6 of them to cover the material for a model. That is too much.

Order yourself a set of the Maritime Replicas' Brownline drawings. They depict the ship's starboard exterior, and plan views of the boat deck down to C deck. They're only $45 and should do the trick for scratch-builders looking for measured drawings from which to cut pieces. Hope this helps...
Best of luck and success,
