Construction Jig

I just recently finished the 1/350th scale Tamiya model of the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Enterprise. I built a construction jig to support and position the model during painting and assembly. I plan on using it for my Titanic model also.
The Enterprise model is longer (40") than the Titanic model, so I'll describe a jig that is sized down somewhat for the Titanic model.
The jig consists of a wood base made from a 1" x 6" x 36" long board. At each end are two uprights made from 1" x 2" x 6" high pieces. The uprights are attached to the base with angle brackets. The cross piece, which supports the model itself, is also a 1" x 2" x 34" long. It is attached to the uprights at each end by 1/4" bolts and wing nuts. This piece, which attaches to the keel, can be positioned, at any angle. This makes working on the model, especially the fine details, much easier.
