Upon further observation of available photos and paintings I find that there is a pipe loop on funnel #2. It is located just to the starboard of the forward steam vent. It can just be made out on p.15 of Ballard's "Discovery of the Titanic" and in Marschall's painting opposite the Contents page of Titanic: An Illustrated History.
