: I have another rigging question. Once I find the attachment points for the rigging for the funnels and other parts of the ship,How do I anchor the rigging as I am installing it?

: Do I use a dab of superglue at the point of attchment? How do I keep the line taut? Do I wrap or tie the line around certains parts of the ship? I am confused as to how everyone has attached their rigging lines and how they know where the lines attach on the ship.

We use fishing line for our rigging. Once the one end was anchored with a dab of CA we would pull the line slightly taut and tack the other end to its intended location. After all rigging was completed we then passed a hot air blower (like a hand held hair dryer) back and forth over the model with the setting on high. This causes the monofilament line to tighten even further and in a uniform fashion. The key is to use it like you would a spray can of paint. Do not get too close though or stay stationary too long in a given area or you could actually melt plastic parts on the model or the monofilament itself. Practice on scraps first. The end result is tight cables that will not be bothered by humidity.

Cheers, Mike
