: : Well Im getting ready to glue down the marconi wires on the boat deck problem is Im having trouble keeping the wires tight without bending the tips of the masts. Ive used the amount of thread that the model recommends and followed the instructions but Im still having trouble does anyone know a easier way to do this???

:
: My masts bend a little as well because of uneven tension on the wires (thread). You will notice in the model photo section that you are not the Lone Ranger. I broke the top off of my forward mast twice so far. Before I add the Marconi Wires, I will use something much stronger than the masts provided. Fishing rod tips (fast action) filed-down chop sticks or wooden skewers will be my next masts. Here are three things that I will never do again: 1. I will never again attend a land war in southeast Asia 2. I will never again smell the hard things in the sandbox.
: 3. I will NEVER again use the masts provided with one of these kits.
: I believe that rigging and brass fittings have one thing in common when building a detailed vessel: By the time you finish, you have the hang of it! Of course you could re-rig the thing, but for me, I aint gonna re-rig nothing without replacing those too-fragile masts.
: Good luck, and let us know that you do.

Thanks Jesse I try that on my next one
