....Mr. Veitz most likely was aboard the Olympic in the late '20's through 1935, so take information like the interior colors with a little caution. Even if his recall is perfect, the Olympic under went numerous changes, both structural and decorative during her lifespan. Some time in the 20's, much of her interior paneling was painted over, and trend which was in vogue ashore as well. Fabrics and carpeting wear out on a regular basis and are replaced from time to time - and not always with the same patterns or colors. All I'm trying to say is that Mr. Veitz will probably be able to give you an accurate "snapshot" of the Olympic as she was when HE saw her, but not necessarily as she was originally completed. I'd be cautious as to how much of this information I'd apply directly to the early Olympic or the Titanic.
