I hope you don't think I was trying to be high-handed, not at all. In fact I appreciate your information on the publications you found very much. I just get frustrated at times like Mark with all of the tantalizing possibilites that pop up, yet, in this age of information sharing and high technology, we can't see what others can see. I don't want to go barging into a library throwing around our association name and be thrown out the door, that is not what I had in mind. But certainly I thought maybe an association name, not an individual person, might generate a little more willingness for some places to allow us to share the information with all.
I totally understand the limitations you must have with the sources you were describing, I was only using you as an example, not picking on you. My comments were more general and overall with my frustration, or maybe it might be jealousy that some people have access to things I would like to see. I don't want any information to stop being listed here just because we can't access it, it is all very interesting, I just was thinking out loud and I do have frustration with all of the "goodies" that we occasionally hear about. You and everyone else who submits information here, are being informative on your own times and I would never want it to stop. I was just wondering if having an association name might open a few doors for us all to share some of the information here on the website.
I really was not being negative towards you, in fact, you inspired my comments because your postings were extremely interesting to me. Like Mark said, it is a feeling like a carrot being dangled in front of you, we get excited about a new source but we can't see what you see, we are just a little envious. I will see if those publications are available around here, but I am not holding my breath. And I wasn't just referring to you, I was referring to all of the finds that come up here on this website. I wish there was easier access to some of it, but that is a fact of life, and I know how copyright laws work too, my company is very hesitant to pull and web-related information onto our PC"S.
My apology if you thought I was picking on you, ont the contrary, I am very interested in all of your research, and others too. I just wish we all could see it.
