I started my 1:570 in the summer when I found it on sale, planning to give me something to past the time with. Then I made the mistake of stumbling across this site and I've been super detailing and researching ever since. I too plan on using this model as a warm up to the 1:350 which i plan to do soon as I get the guts, time and money to do so. I want that to be the best model and most detailed ever (people and all photoetched parts as well). As for the 1:570 model I am not entirely impressed with it since so much of it is out of scale or just plain ugly like those plastic walls/railings? I didn't bother fixing alot that other than the bow and aft of the hull itself. I'm finally up to the boat deck and hope to be done in a month or so, yeah right!
