I have seen several editions of "Engineering" from 1910 to 1914 and The Shipbuilder, and it looks to me that most if not all of the information in The Shipbuilder was first printed in 'Engineering'. The photographs are much larger in "Engineering' and the schematics are about 1 1/2 feet x 2 1/2 feet, being fold-outs. They are published in half years plus addenda and special pull out editions. 'Engineering' reprinted the plans to the Titanic when she went down.
The Librarians are making copies of these issues, for preservation and to display next to my ships; since I used these plans to make my ships it will be interesting to compare the 3 dimensional product with the plans.
Also I found a copy of the souvenir program for the London Hippodrome of Tuesday April 30, 1912 a program to aid the fund for the survivors of the Titanic Disaster. It was a show by the leading talent in London for disaster relief, complete with poems about the Titanic and Editorial Cartoons, opera singers and plays. A painted picture of a wrecked Titanic is on the cover.
The Librarians have informed me that "Engineering" will be placed in a secure area, as if they weren't secure in the vault! Only certain people will have access to them.
Most of the research is done, and I am now preparing and repairing my ships for the display at the Fondren Library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas on September 15, 1999.
They will be placed behind glass in two display cabinets built into the wall, as you enter the Library. For those of you who are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, SMU has a website with maps.

Sincerely,
James Pepper
