I think you should just put a sub title under the Official Model website name and keep a list of names and addresses of all those interested in being an official member in your personal files if you are ever contacted by someone looking for information. Post a list of members on the website ( name only ) No charges or dues or anything. Pick a few titles and have a vote on it. I agree with Scott that the title should have a little more then modeler in it. Maybe Titanic Model Research Group or Society, whatever. If in the future, you want to send out membership cards then so be it. For now just the name and member list. As for trustees, I would just have a poll to pick ( enter number ) of names. No candidates, just a poll. Anyone who is a regular knows the names of people who contribute. Just ask every one to send **** names to you without anyone officially picking candidates. That way no one can feel that any one person left someone out. Do you know what I mean? The trustee issue is a "in name" thing only. Just an organized source of people to look to if assistance is needed by an outside agency.
